Designed to offer a variety of lifestyle options within one community-centered facility, Anthology offers independent living, assisted living and memory care. Sited near Cleveland, the project is inspired by what makes this city unique. The parks and tall grass prairies of the area are used as inspiration for the exterior and interior materials, from the overall color scheme of greens and ochres to the patterns on the carpets and upholsteries. Metal accents and industrial touches are an ode to the aviation industry, which this city helped birth in the early 20th century. Artwork throughout the space reinforces the history of Cleveland and helps to center residents.
Thoughtfully designed communal spaces, like a great room and more intimate family lounges, support residents’ gathering with friends and family. A bistro, and formal and informal dining rooms help enforce a sense of community. A game room, theatre, library, community room, co-working space and salon are all designed to support the myriad of programs and activities that Anthology offers to its residents. Each space is designed with its own unique furnishings and finishes to reinforce its purpose and to create a myriad of choices for the residents within one community.
Through the use of natural materials like locally sourced limestone and biophilic elements like green walls, residents feel connected to the natural environment. By incorporating indoor and outdoor pathways, winter gardens and a variety of courtyards throughout the building, nature can be experienced no matter the season.
Along with an in-house clinic, active spaces like an indoor pool with spa-like locker facilities, an outdoor pickleball court, an indoor gym and physical therapy space are all designed to support an active lifestyle and a holistic approach to wellness.
