Belmont Village La Jolla
Reflective of the active older adults in southern California, Belmont Village La Jolla is a 17-story building with a warm contemporary urban residential design. Developed in partnership with global leader in residential living, Greystar, the high-rise building provides a well-rounded package of lifestyle and resort style amenities that take advantage of the indoor-outdoor California lifestyle and offers commanding views from apartments as well as common areas. There are over 8,500 square feet of outdoor amenity space including a swimming pool, al fresco dining, dog park, artificial turf multi-purpose area, a relaxing patio with a fire place and TV, and reflection pond. More than 50% of the indoor amenity spaces have direct access to a patio, terrace, or balcony. The amenity rich environment includes an art studio, library, sports lounge, theatre, as well as multiple seating areas to socialize or enjoy a little quiet time. Atop the tower, a multi-purpose room, fitness, and library all open up to terraces with a fire pit to enjoy the view or the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
Belmont Village La Jolla’s façade is clad in varying shades of tan pre-cast concrete panels, giving a unique and structured appearance to the building form reflective of Southern California Coastal Modern Architecture. The tile is arranged in a stacked pattern to strengthen the geometric language between base and tower. Rounded balconies that serve the upper-level amenities are placed central to the main façade to complement and soften the otherwise rectilinear tower form and give prominence to the public outdoor spaces. The community offer independent living, assisted living and memory under one roof.
Belmont Village La Jolla’s beautiful exterior is equally matched inside. Using a coastal design style, the interior takes inspiration and emulates La Jolla’s surf and marine life. Every detail – from the light fixtures and flooring to the furnishings – is thoroughly thought out to create a high-end look and feel with a senior-friendly elements. The art throughout the building is carefully curated to have a big impact and act as a gallery aspect on each level.

Through a unique partnership with UC San Diego’s Stein Institute for Research on Aging, Belmont Village La Jolla is home to the Institute’s first “Living Lab” that gives residents the opportunity to advise and partner directly with UCSD researchers to develop innovative interventions.
