Benchmark at Hanover
Benchmark has created an assisted living and Mind & Memory Care community, the first in Hanover, Mass., in which residents remain connected to the area they love while having the lifestyle and amenities they need to age well. The community is located down the street from the newly renovated Hanover Crossings mall and within a mixed-use development featuring a variety of retail and restaurant establishments, including Starbucks, CVS and Target. Benchmark at Hanover is also strategically located adjacent to the South Shore YMCA which offers start-of-the-art facilities and programming, including senior focused programs, that allow residents to engage with the broader community and in multigenerational activities. It also offers the opportunity to host YMCA programs at Benchmark at Hanover, bringing the broader community to residents.
The design style enhances residents’ activities, their connection to others and the surrounding area through natural materials unique to Hanover. Wood, stone, greenery and light, have been used as our language to create a culture of wellbeing, renewal and delight for residents and appealing to all.
Community integration has been the main mission. As an extension of the nearby Hanover Crossings mall redevelopment, residents can walk to many nearby shopping destinations and restaurants. With close ties to the YMCA next door, residents enjoy the many wellness and aquatics programs offered there.
Residents watch as produce is harvested from micro-farms, see chefs create their meal in an open kitchen and enjoy it from one of several venues. Also offered are many dedicated spaces, from an art studio to a bocce court, devoted to nurturing residents’ interests and wellness goals.
