Brightview Wayne offers 195 state-of-the-art apartment-style homes consisting of 89 Independent Living units, 54 Assisted Living units, 16 Enhanced Care Assisted Living (ECAL), and 36 Wellspring Memory Care units. The design elements within the community focus on ensuring residents can be as active, involved, social, and engaged as possible. Brightview’s design team brought a new perspective to the exterior of this project. Having an older clientele does not mean you have to use only traditional design and materials! With the use of modern, sleek, linear design and fresh, contemporary styling, passers-by would never guess this is a senior living location. Meticulous landscaping surrounds the exterior with beautiful gardens and greenspaces located in the courtyards. The overall layout of the building encourages residents to move about, join in, talk to others, and interact with their community while maintaining private space in their own apartments.
Upon entering the lobby, residents and their guests feel as though they’ve been transported to a Five-Star resort. Modern patterns, warm wood tones, and unique materials that balance contemporary design come together to deliver a trend-setting property. This was the goal for Brightview Wayne, to have an exciting and vibrant look while maintaining cozy, home-like comfort.
The design team gave a nod to the area’s horse racing history in the Packanack Pub, with equine-themed artwork, luxurious colors, warm wood tones and comfortable fabrics. Residents can gather here for a pint, a game of cards, or to share a meal with new friends. It includes a billiards table, grand piano, comfortable seating for residents, and provides flexibility for group gatherings.
The courtyard features are comforting and provide a sense of home. The beautiful outdoor courtyards offer a necessary balance of interior and exterior spaces, affording the opportunity for residents to be surrounded by nature. On the south-facing side of the building, there is a buffer of trees designed to separate this community from a suburban neighborhood.
The comfortable theater can double as a performance or presentation room.
A full-service beauty salon offering haircuts, styling, and spa services, such as manicures and pedicures to all residents.
The Assisted Living Library is well-stocked with computer access stations. The Independent Living Library provides a bright and spacious reading space.
The Activity Room for Assisted Living residents provides an opportunity to build and maintain relationships. The Assisted Living Café also offers opportunities for engagement between residents.
Personal residence features include large windows, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and in-apartment washer/dryer for independent living residents, bathrooms and showers designed for safety and comfort, 24-hour emergency call system, and large closets.
Thoughtful consideration was included in the design to accommodate the ceiling-mounted lift system within each Enhanced Care Assisted Living (ECAL) room. With full access to the sink, toilet, and shower through this fully accessible design, a resident gains a sense of independence and can make more decisions for their own care during recovery from surgery or injury.
The property boasts four restaurant-quality dining options that include daily continental breakfast, continuous coffee, snack services, and happy hour.
