ASSISTED LIVING

Erickson Senior Living – Maris Grove

Maris Grove is a Life-Plan Community near Philadelphia, PA providing the full continuum of services to over 1,600 residents. The Evergreen Pointe Building is a three-story addition to the existing care center on the Maris Grove campus providing Assisted Living services and amenities.

This project also re-positions the entire third floor of the existing building to create a dedicated Memory Support neighborhood and updates the Clubhouse building, which serves as the main entrance for both existing and new care center buildings.  A portion of the third floor of the new addition creates a roof garden that provides a secure outdoor space for the memory support residents.

New interior amenity spaces include a table-service restaurant, a family kitchen, a game room, and a fitness center. A large courtyard provides opportunities for active and passive enjoyment of the outdoors, with a large dining terrace, a wide-format outdoor fireplace and a bocce court. Evergreen Pointe features 84 new Assisted Living Apartments ranging in size from studios to one and two-bedroom styles. Each apartment includes a private, full bathroom and a kitchenette, along with elegant finishes and spacious designs. Some units feature patios leading to an enclosed courtyard.

The most important aspect of the design was ensuring the AL was not much aesthetically different from IL to assist in resident transition. The goal was to blend home-like elements with destination points that have convenient access for residents.

The new amenities include an outdoor courtyard which features a double sided fireplace, elder-friendly exercise equipment, a bocce ball court and dining tables. The community kitchen, upgraded dining experience and new game room have provided more opportunity for resident interaction and engagement.
