The presence of thriving mangrove preserves, and tidal estuaries surrounds the brand-new skilled nursing facility of the Larsen Health Center. Encompassing 6 floors and 200,000 square feet, the 180 bed residence is treated to beautiful views of the Caloosahatchee River opening to the Gulf.
The client’s vision for this project was to create a center of excellence for memory and healthcare serving the most fragile senior population in the final stage of their life. Goals included providing world-class services and surroundings of elevated aesthetics, function, and comfort for the daily benefit of the residents. A huge part of general well-being is preparedness for whatever the future holds. By building and promoting such a well-engineered skilled nursing center at the front of the campus with maximum visibility from the main road, this CCRC signals the devotion to its residents through all levels of care. This promotes a sense of comfort rather than concern in residents as they evaluate their own plans and ability to age in their community.
For information and signing in, visitors can approach the white and grey-veined marble desk, operated by volunteers. Resident rooms feature multiple lighting configurations, large windows, and very accessible bathrooms. The resident floors have cozy but sophisticated living rooms and dining rooms with central located nurse stations
