RENOVATION / REPOSITIONING

Woodside Village

Auria Senior Living develops, owns and manages a portfolio of continuing-care retirement communities throughout South Africa. Our mission is simple – “We ensure that our residents enjoy their best quality of life. Every single day.” Auria Senior Living acquired a majority interest in Woodside Village in February 2021 and has been renovating, refurbishing and redeveloping this charming community to match the design and hospitality standards of the other Auria Senior Living communities. As part of this process, existing facilities have been upgraded, and new ones added including all new dining areas.

New Dining Areas – The team was faced with the dual challenge of renovating dilapidated and poorly designed dining areas, lounge and bar. It was therefore important for the design to support the goals of a modern CCRC, and for Woodside Village to make a positive contribution to its neighbourhood. Various dining options at Woodside Village have been improved. A new elegantly renovated dining room, with an adjacent wine cellar, now serves a range of fresh, delicious meals in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. A new private dining room is ideal for more intimate functions and family dinners, as well as a private lounge for meetings and smaller events. A modern freestanding double-sided fireplace will add warmth throughout the lounge during the cold coastal winter. The newly renovated bar is the perfect spot for residents to enjoy sundowners and light snacks while looking over the expansive views of Table Mountain.

Cafe Auria – The previous coffee shop has been transformed into one of our signature Café Auria coffee shops serving delicious snacks, barista-made cappuccinos, freshly baked cakes and healthy breakfast and lunch options. This area will be renovated and extended to create a vibrant space for residents and neighbours to meet with friends and family or simply take time out to catch up with the daily news. The vibrant décor, textured fabrics, paint and wallpaper effects have been carefully selected to complement the manicured, flower-filled gardens and bring the splendour of the outdoors indoors.  With its innovative, contemporary design and inviting social spaces, the transformed Woodside Village is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. It is a luxurious destination of choice that contributes significantly to community life for our residents, their friends and families. The goal of enhancing the lives of our residents has been superbly achieved.
