The Sunrise of McLean Village is one of the best projects of 2023, serving the needs of both Assisted Living and Memory Care residents in the McLean, Virginia area. The elegantly designed three-story building sits gracefully at the gateway into McLean Village on Chain Bridge Road and has turned a site that was an office building with a sea of asphalt parking stalls into a pedestrian-friendly urban site that incorporates a public Heritage Park and large private garden for the community. The EarthCraft-certified building contains approximately 90,000 gross square feet of conditioned space and can accommodate 120 residents in 100 suites. The three-story structure is underlain by a parking garage which allows for the maximization of green space on the site. The light Georgian-styled building is clad in a beautiful brick and siding combination with gables, bays, dormers, open porches, and lovely brick detailing that adds interest and residential scale to the community. It has been a welcome addition to the surrounding area and significantly benefits both residents and their neighbors, encouraging community engagement, sustainability, and a connection to the natural landscape.
The design style of Sunrise of McLean Village draws inspiration from the rich architectural heritage of the surrounding McLean neighborhood, featuring a light Georgian-style exterior that seamlessly blends with the local architectural context. The interior design further enhances this classic style with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing elements like graceful fireplaces and a striking yet harmonious color palette. Each choice, from finishes to fabrics and furnishings, upholds the commitment to create a timeless and refined interior space that beautifully marries traditional and contemporary design elements.
