The Summit of Bettendorf, a WellSpire Community
The Summit of Bettendorf is a new, full-continuum-of-care community serving the Quad Cities. The community is designed to maximize the resident-hospitality experience, ensure highest quality care, and create opportunities to enhance a sense of purpose, meaning, and joy in the lives of those served. Built on a premise of health and well-being, The Summit seeks to transforms the aging experience by supporting healthier and more active lifestyles. As the flagship community of WellSpire, a joint partnership of WesleyLife and Genesis Health, the campus is the result of the team’s collective vision with features that will elevate holistic wellness for all. The Summit features four levels of independent living with a first-floor assisted living household, two 20-person skilled-care households, and one 16-person assisted memory support household in a neighborhood cluster model.
The Summit’s gathering spaces and wellness hub are the heart of the community, placing an emphasis on wellness that goes beyond physical exercise. The openness and interconnectivity of active environments inside and out, draw people in and keep the wellness calendar full.
The generous lobby receives natural daylight from every direction, supplemented with large scale artistic lighting to create a luminous atrium. Sightlines are directed to the concierge desk and open-air bistro.
The Summit’s central core includes five dining spaces ranging from casual to VIP experiences, and all are connected to the Wellness Hub and Community Room with access to the outdoor terraces, amphitheater, and courtyard. The rooftop lounge and bar offers residents a higher vantage point with beautiful views designed to encourage gathering with outdoor seating, a fireplace, and views of the neighborhood.
A demonstration style kitchen is made possible with a hood specifically designed for fire suppression.

The energetic spaces with high ceilings framed in windows, create engaging fitness environments. To accommodate weekly pickleball games, the large studio features shatterproof fixtures and glazing. An adjoining cardio studio is outfitted with equipment to offer a vibrant, visually-connected environment. The Wellness Hub includes non-gendered changing rooms and large private gym lockers.
The virtual golf simulator provides fun physical therapy and play in all of Iowa’s seasons.
The high-energy environment of the Aveda Salon has enhanced acoustics, therapeutic services, a hospitality feel, and furniture to support each person’s needs and abilities.
