Longleaf Bee Cave
Longleaf Bee Cave is a new assisted living and memory care community that offers a welcoming, sophisticated design addition to its Hill Country neighborhood. It also features the latest safeguards in design and engineering to prevent viral spread, including sanitizing UV lights and ionic air filtration systems. These elements are seamlessly integrated into the overall design to create a serene environment that draws on the area’s natural beauty and empowers the residents to feel healthy, confident, and encouraged. The distinguished design offers modern comforts to everyone in the community and creates a bright, dynamic place to establish new traditions.
The ownership challenged the design team to help solve some of the operational challenges of the pandemic with a thorough analysis of the design. Ultimately the community has benefited from an upgraded HVAC with ionic air filtration, disinfectant UV lighting. Additionally, the design team specified antimicrobial fabrics and finishes that prevent viral spread and can withstand rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols put in place to keep residents safe and healthy.
Design is enhanced with the finest of details. Ceilings, walls, floors, every surface was planned including hand-embroidered custom art pieces in the lobby, memorabilia from local Austin musicians featured in the theater, and honeycomb accents that pay homage to the community’s home in Bee Cave.
The community provides a walkable environment with access to boutique shops and restaurants, Bee Cave Central Park with scenic walking trails, and is close to the Lone Star Farmer’s Market. The community also hosts events with local artists, musicians and medical experts to educate and entertain.
Longleaf Bee Cave’s location, while close to retail, services, and restaurants, also takes full advantage of Texas Hill Country’s rolling hills. The community sits just below street level, giving it a remote feel while still having a high walkability score.
Amenities include a theater, lounge with game tables and arcade game, café, a library with workstations and window seats, salon, state-of-the-art fitness center, art studio, and outdoor patios with scenic vistas of the impressive Hill Country topography. Residential units feature panoramic views.
