Rules, Terms & Conditions

  1. All entries must be submitted between June 1, 2023 and October 31, 2023 by 11:59 PM CST for consideration.
  2. Communities in the professional category will be considered eligible if construction has been fully completed between January 1, 2022 and October 1, 2023, with high-resolution photos available for use.
  3. Entries from prior years cannot be resubmitted.
  4. Incomplete entries will not be judged and any entry fees will be refunded. If an entry is deemed incomplete by SHN, entry will have 48 hours to address deficiencies identified and if not addressed, entry will not be accepted. SHN will not accept any materials after the entry deadline.
  5. Once an entry is completed and accepted, the entry fee is non-refundable.
  6. A property may enter two categories, such as CCRC and International if the community can be categorized as both, but constitutes two separate entries evaluated against entries in their respective categories.
  7. Any trademarks, written material, graphics, photographs, and intellectual property are all held by their respective owners. All materials being shared are strictly confidential.
  8. Company and individual submitting entry confirm and consent that all requisite partners in the project such as owner(s), operator, architecture, and/or interior design firm have authorized use of such submitted materials.
  9. Entrants agree that SHN may use the materials to present to judges and showcase on the SHN Awards site, Senior Housing News, and any other Aging Media Network sites.
  10. Any judge that has a direct or indirect interest, involvement, or detailed knowledge of any entry will recuse themselves from judging that particular entry and that entry will be judged by another judge or executive from the Aging Media Network / Senior Housing News team.
  11. All judging is confidential and SHN does not share judge’s individual scores for projects.
  12. SENIOR HOUSING NEWS AND AGING MEDIA NETWORK HAVE FINAL DECISION ON ELIGIBILITY OF ENTRIES AND SOLE DISCRETION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE JUDGING PROCESS AND WILL NOT SHARE SCORES FOR INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS OR SCORES BY JUDGES.
