RENOVATION / REPOSITIONING (BUILDING)

Cedar community

Founded with one man’s gift of land, the vision of a tireless founder, and thousands of volunteer hours and dollars, Cedar Community is a faith-based nonprofit senior living community where residents enjoy, explore, and embrace their best lives. From that inaugural gift of land, Cedar Community has grown to include three residential campuses serving more than 900 residents and community members from across the region.

The distinctive natural settings, inclusive culture, and high-quality services afford seniors the opportunity to live an active, purposeful, and dignified life among family and friends. Woven into the prairies, waterways, and forests of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine, and situated on the shores of Big Cedar Lake, the natural beauty surrounding Cedar Community is surpassed only by the beauty of its mission and people.

Reception Before | After

Cedar Community sought to reinvest in their existing health center, providing a more cohesive flow between residential, amenity and support spaces. The project increases and diversifies independent living and independent living plus options, while reducing the skilled nursing bed count, and enhances resident and team amenities and experiences. Exterior improvements were a big consideration for this project to create a stronger first impression and increase resident and team member pride in the campus.

The temperate California climate also encourages an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, inspiring our members to enjoy
outdoor dining and lounging next to the fireplace in our courtyard.

Dining Before | After

The new and inviting Willow & Vine dining room offers an open-concept kitchen with a variety of seating options focused on socialization. The project also added a covered outdoor rooftop patio adjacent to the Café that allows residents, team members, and visitors to enjoy the fresh air.

Designed to offer each member an elevated and engaged life, including the Elegant Palmer Library and Lobby.
