Sunrise of redmond
Sunrise of Redmond was acquired by Sunrise Senior Living in 2019. Richmond is a small community located close to Seattle, Washington, an area surrounded by many rivers and green spaces, making it an ideal place for enjoying nature. These aspects, in addition to looking at the culture unique to Redmond, began to drive the design process. One of the main goals was to elevate the existing assisted living community to compete with the local market, and to attract new and former families. Given the location and culture, the team decided to bring in organic materials, textural elements, and a bold color palette to compliment the natural surroundings and bring a modern elegance to the interior. The saturated colors in the finishes and fabrics, in addition to the wood tones throughout, enhance the cascade of natural light and view of the outdoors from within the building. Once the renovation was complete, the client was thrilled to welcome a returning resident as the very first occupant to the new, revitalized community. Staff and residents are pleased with the adaptable, modern elegance provided by the new design.

The new lobby/reception area provides dedicated destination entries into the main dining and living spaces. The shift opens the space to create an inviting lounge outside the dining room.
The temperate California climate also encourages an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, inspiring our members to enjoy
outdoor dining and lounging next to the fireplace in our courtyard.

The new layout furnishes multiple seating areas, creating choices for the residents. The open concept unites the common spaces while the design features distinguish them.
Designed to offer each member an elevated and engaged life, including the Elegant Palmer Library and Lobby.

The dining connection to the new bistro infuses life and inspiration into the space. Bold colors and contrasting finishes enhance the dining experience for all.
