The Preserve at Meridian
The design reflects local materials and building traditions of central Mississippi. Wood timbers, clean horizontal milled siding and natural stone all reflect the character and charm of its southern local. The communities color palette is warm, understated and speaks to the unpretentious and straightforward values of the region.
Located on a heavily travelled north/south artery, the community context is automobile driven. The project with its existing trees, open spaces and very dense building layout connects and reflects the type of housing and community layout nearby. The community has ample community room and spaces that provide much needed public space.
The project features a lush wooded site with walking paths and a pond for resident use and enjoyment. The centrally located dining, fitness, chapel and activities rooms all face a carefully crafted amenity courtyard surrounded by large resident patios. Memory care residents enjoy two acuity wings located around a lush landscaped courtyard garden.
The exterior touts a traditional southern architecture style with a large porte cochère at the main entrance. An abundance of windows at the entrance bring in natural light to foyer, offices and common areas.
Common areas pair traditional elegance with comfort and community in mind. The main dining area is where fine dining meets southern charm. Dining room seating alternates between stately benches and comfortable chairs.
Independent Living Cottages have similar architecture to the main building, with subtle treatments like herringbone brick, splashes of color, and false shutters that ad charm.
