Traditional and modern design were purposefully interwoven by pallid lap sided facades contrasted by black shutters, undulating roof lines and tall cupolas. Walking paths throughout the entire neighborhood directly connect the cottages and the assisted living building. At the heart of the assisted living community, expansive centralized courtyards are accessible directly from resident units and the common areas. These courtyards are filled with greenspace, walking paths, rocking chairs and benches to nurture wellness and community connection.

The layout of the main building promotes destinations within the corridors, encouraging its residents to travel throughout the building and utilize the many amenities. Being a single-story facility connects all of the residents within a walkable distance gives feeling of comfort and security.
Walking paths throughout the community connecting the cottages with the assisted living community was pertinent in the design to integrate all residents. Connecting the club/theatre and dining space was crucial to hold large events with flexibility for small gatherings.
